Bethlehem Christian School is a ministry of Bethlehem Lutheran Church. The Preschool was established under the direction of Prince of Peace Lutheran Preschool (Everett) in 1975. In 1980 it began functioning independently as an outreach ministry. We currently serve approximately 180 children ages 3 to 5.

The objectives of the
school are as follows:

  • To share the gospel of Jesus Christ in ways appropriate to the experience of the preschool child.
  • To encourage the child's skills in listening, self-discipline, conversation, creative self expression and independent work and play.
  • To provide children, ages 3 to 5 a true readiness experience in preparation for kindergarten (i.e. working independently in a group situation, transition from one activity to another, how to raise hands, etc.).

In the spring of 2003 we conducted a survey of preschool parents and church members. As a result, Bethlehem Christian School Staff and Board decided to add a Kindergarten to our school. There is a very small pool of Christian Kindergartens available in the Marysville area. This decision will give parents one more option to continue with another year of Christian education for their child.

Bethlehem has many families whose roots come from their Preschool experience. Kindergarten continues that as an area of ministry, of outreach, and a blessing for all involved.

If you have any questions, please call 360-653-2882.

The love of God and His blessings will be taught as a natural part of our experience. Our goal will be to have each child feel accepted and worthy in the school setting, to develop a positive attitude and self image so he or she will be well prepared for the challenges of the approaching school years.

Each classroom shall have no more than 18 students with a Head Teacher and an Assistant Teacher. Curriculum is based on weekly or monthly themes that integrate activities that foster all areas of development.

Christian values are taught through daily interaction with the staff, classroom activities and Chapel time experiences.
